なお、ルータ・オン・ア・スティックには、以下のような欠点があります。
・トランクリンク一箇所の障害がネットワーク全体に影響する(シングルポイント障害)
・トランクリンクにアクセスが集中するため、輻輳の原因になる(帯域幅問題)
VLAN(Virtual LAN)とはユーザの物理的な位置に関係なく、ユーザを論理的にグループ分けできる技術です。
VLANで論理的にグループ分けすることにより、異なるVLANに属しているユーザとは通信できないようになります。

なお、ルータ・オン・ア・スティックには、以下のような欠点があります。
・トランクリンク一箇所の障害がネットワーク全体に影響する(シングルポイント障害)
・トランクリンクにアクセスが集中するため、輻輳の原因になる(帯域幅問題)

MACアドレス変更の認識について確認させてください。

こちらにつきましてはその通りで、上記の認識で間違っていません。ネットワークを超える(別のネットワークへ入ったり出たり)場合はMACアドレスは変わります。
ルーターAからの通信がBを経由してCに行きたい場合、Source(送信元) MAC Addressは最初はAのMACアドレス、Distination(宛先) MAC AddressはBのものになります。
が、Bでは送信元MACアドレスは自身のBのMACアドレスが使用され、宛先MACアドレスもCのものへと変わります。
・別のVLANに通信する場合に毎度MACアドレスが変わってしまうと、VLAN同士での通信が成り立たなくなってしまうため基本的に変わることはありません。(NAホルダーでNP勉強中ですが、間違ってしまっていたら申し訳ございません。)
併せて、送信元/宛先IPの決まりも確認しておくといいかもしれません。応援しております、頑張ってください。
